Freyssinet India

Advancing Mumbai’s Coastal Infrastructure with Engineering Excellence!

Freyssinet India is proud to contribute to the Mumbai Versova-Dahisar Coastal Road Project (MVDP), a landmark infrastructure initiative that will enhance connectivity, ease traffic congestion, and significantly reduce travel time across Mumbai's western corridor.

As part of Package E (Charkop to Gorai), this ambitious project comprises a complex network of elevated roadways, interchanges, ramps, and iconic bridge structures, supporting Mumbai’s vision for a modern, sustainable, and future-ready transportation system.

Freyssinet India’s scope of work includes:

  • Pre-tensioning of I-Girders
  • Post-tensioning of SBS structures
  • Stay Cable Systems featuring Freyssinet Saddle Technology with LCS Strands

We are pleased to share that project execution is now underway, with pre-tensioning, post-tensioning, and stay cable activities currently in progress. Through our specialized expertise in prestressing and advanced structural solutions, we are contributing to the successful delivery of one of India’s most significant urban mobility projects.

A key highlight of this project is the adoption of Freyssinet’s high-durability Saddle Technology combined with the LCS Strand concept for the Stay Cable System. The Mumbai Versova-Dahisar Coastal Road Project becomes the second project in India to implement this innovative solution, following its successful deployment on the Sagar Island-Gangasagar (SIGS) Bridge Project in West Bengal.

At Freyssinet India, we remain committed to delivering innovative engineering solutions that enhance structural performance, durability, and sustainability. Through technical excellence, quality execution, and continuous innovation, we are proud to support the development of resilient infrastructure that connects communities and drives progress.
